You might have to change the permissions to execute it.
use the terminal app and go to the xwom directory and use:
chmod 777 xwom_mac.sh
that might solve your issue.
If the permissions are correct use in the terminal app (assuming you are in the xwom directory) and use:
./xwom_mac.sh
to start xwom
