UI lagg indicator

UI lagg indicator

Postby Ultima » 16 Nov 2011, 12:16

The lagg indicator on the server keeps counting up.
Mine is already over 8000 and still counting, even when there is no lava or a new map.

Its like its not resetting to 0..

When it happens check the System tab and read the individual lag values for the players, if they are all 0 or very low then the lag indicator should be equal to 0 or some small value.

Yeah same thing with me here's a temporary working solution:

1) Start Server
2) Go to "Misc" tab
3) Change /rp limit: 500
4) Change Normal /rp: 100 (default)
5) After go to "Misc3" tab
6) Change AvgStop to something below 10. (i set to 1 :D)
7) Everything below AvgStop should be set to True. Preferable to keep lag low.

Hope this helps clearing up the lag!

Well, people need a special rank to use cuboid and i had the avgstop on 50.
Hope that avgstop on 10 will solve some lagg problems :)

AvgStop defines a threshold that when exceeded by server lag indicator causes physics to stop till the lag value gets lower again. This way it saves your CPU power as you don't try to send more data than your internet upload speed can handle.

Depending on my many people there online, mine server has spikes 10% till 90% CPU load when the lava is running. (64 x 64 x 64 and physics 3)
I think a 100mbit upload connection can handle it  I am more worried about my crappy processor..
