That...sounds like a memory load problem? (It could very well be lag).

Ever since zienny added the send map function when you switch maps, xWoM will freeze and stop responding for 5 seconds, then unfreeze and respond and place you in the map at the same coords you were at last time. Usually ziennys respawn function at the beginning of the map stops it, but it still happens on a rare occasion.
