Chat not working

When you run MCDziennyLava server the chat doesn't work... There's ''Main, chat, players, maps, lava survival, remote consoles info, errors'' The chat one doesn't show anything, it has a square grey box with no text in side. There's a 'deactivate ' button just above it but I deactivated and activated that did nothing. I can also change the name and colours and stuff but no text shows up. Is this a bug? Please get back asap, thanks!

Look in your properties folder for general.properties and find the <UseChat> </UseChat>, make sure it says True.

Yes, It was on False but when I change it to True and saved it, it just changed back to False, Why?
