its really anoying when your looking through the chat for something and someone dies or says something and it bumps the chat bar back to the end and on my server its impossible becasue something is always happening. i do understand that the reason why it does that is because it keeps the chat up to date but there should be like a check box that if u check it then it updates it but if it is unchecked it doesnt keep being bumped.
