/ignore IRC

So in our community in #mcclassichosting we had a bit of negative feedback with IRC and all of the chat comming from all of the servers at once. We would like to request this command to give people the option to ignore the IRC chat in a command like /ignore, leaving the staff here to use IRC for moderation.

this isn't possible the way you are thinking it IRC is a /say format which doesn't contain the $name variable.
