What type of 'voting system' are you talking about specifically?

There is already a /vote command within the software, which might be what you are looking for?

If you want to create a custom vote system for yourself, then it would be almost impossible. You need to monitor players messages and check to see if they have voted for your custom voting mechanism. To do this you need to place code within the Player class, which we cannot access.

But like I said, you have /vote:

/vote <message> - Calls a 30sec vote.

There is a way to automatically have each map declare a poll...now the time it takes to do that for 71 maps...will take time
Download fCraft maps! - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3012!

Note: The Developer(s) of MCDzienny have resigned and the software is no longer supported.
Errors are bound to occur and Mojang has not attempted to resolve them.

Ever thought about using something like google docs or an online document that people can access by giving them the link. You could post it on your forums and or put it in the messages part in your server toget thenwordnout.

That is also a good point. If you have a large community and run forums, you can make surveys/polls to get feedback.

www.surverymonkey.com is a free and effective way you could do this.
