Server is up but, can't connect over local lan

Postby DavidinCT » 02 Mar 2014, 22:14

I tried to setup my own lava server and after checking with a few people, it's up and running fine.

I have a server (2008 based server) on my local network that it is running on (this server is up 24/7). The problem is, on the other machines on my network, WOM is getting errors connecting to it (Local lan, can URL to the server, ports are open, should not be any issues there)

I tried
https://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?ip=1 ... port=25565 (IP address of the server on my net work)and http

If I try in WOM to connect via the Minecraft link (doing a search and connect) I get the Failed to Connect error. If I try to local connect (from the link above, after logging into WOM, and at the bottom saving a link then using it to connect), I get Minecraft.net returned incomplete server details. Missing: Passcode, User.

I am unable to connect to my own lava server :(

What am I missing here ?

Thanks in advance

You should try getting your Ipv4 address and use the following direct URL in xWom: mc://ipaddress:port/Username/
Owner of:
LeeIzaZombie Freebuild and Lava Survival V2 (Shut Down and updated)
LeeIzaZombie Survival (Comming back soon)

Thanks for your help

I tried this in xWom (with WOM 3.0). All it does is generate a new level (like starting Minecraft from the start). It does not allow me to connect to my server (with mc:// IPv4 IP address:port\Username).

Any other ideas ? What is the point of my own server if I cant join my guests ?

Maybe you need a mmpass to show its a direct on wom, so just try mc://ipaddress:port/username/typeanyrandomthinghere

If your a joining from the host computer then do: mc://localhost:port/name/type anything
Or mc://127.0.0.1/port/typeanyrandomthinghere

Example: mc://127.0.0.1:25565/LeeIzaZombie/639164

Side note: You can always bookmark your server's url, or other servers' urls into XWoM.
And Also:
Code: Select all
127.0.0.1 = localhost
