What to do?

Okay, this may be disturbing, but we all know that minecraft classic is dying.
I once said:
Minecraft has changed. There was a lot of development in it, and it efforded. Classic is only cool because it is ugly. Which gives the ultimate "I can build what I want" feeling.
When alpha came out, the community was really tiny, nowadays you see that curse handles the community now, and the community isn't really a community anymore. There isn't any influence at the development of minecraft. The indie feeling has gone.

But that doesn't mean there will no more people play minecraft classic. People who really like it, are always playing. Look at MCDzienny's community, all those people play minecraft classic. All of them.

But that's beginning to be a problem too. The community here, is also getting a bit sleepy.
Dzienny has been since august 1 not online anymore. Which is weird because he didn't said anything I believe.

So what to do with these forums? It could be anything to me to get this more active.

I know how you feel. But, there is still hope. Mollstam, woh is a minecraft developer, said on his twiiter account(www.twitter.com/mollstam), that he is adapting Classic into the 1.6.3 launcher. So ho knows? Maybe by the next update, Classic will be at its most popular? Or it will downfall. We'll have to wait and see.

Whether classic dies or not, I am gonna continue coding in it as for premium, the protocols of 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 match but 1.5.3 doesn't, it would be hard to code plugins for premium as the protocols change almost every 2 updates.

Don't worry, it is possible that Minecraft Classic is coming back.

I am kind of going to say what break said but as it happens I have got the direct link to a tweet you might like to look at,

It clear says that Classic might be getting added to the new Minecraft Launcher.
We'll just have to wait and see. ;)

Plus you need to learn Java what I am currently learning ironic enough. :P
You can still code bukkit server plugins more easy than mods thought.

I'll have to agree with the thought...It's quite likely that Classic will be merged in with the launcher.
We've already seen the demo for minecraft, we could see classic there soon too.

I've been constantly busy. That's why I haven't been here for a while. It's just a lack of free time. Also, the perspectives were grim partly due to Mojang decision to remove the link to classic and partly due to the bugs in the client. But now there's a new client ClassiCube. I've recently added a support for it. ClassiCube has a potential to help attract new players and revive the community. We will see how it turns out.
