registered to website check thingy

i see theres a new feature that checks if people have registered to the website. i checked the change log about this and it said this:

ive checked the website forum threads/posts and cant find anything on this. just wondering, does this check for people signed up on this website or can you enter your own in? if so, where do you enter it? just wondering...

Bascily, you need to make a script that checks if a username it on your website / forum.
Example:
http://website.com/?name=_Ultima_

If i go to that adres and i get "OK", then the user exist.
