Basic Download & Install Procedures(Just 7 Steps!):

Modified Package - A modified package is basically a collection of folders that hold settings that have been already set for you...kinda like pre-done for you. The download link is provided

1) Downloading the Software

1) Download the latest version of MCDzienny here

2) Unrar the files with either Winrar/7-zip/Universal Extractor
*My personal preference is Universal Extractor. A portable version is included however the file is a rar...how dumb right?

3) After completing that hard task the next step is to put the files and folders to your preference.
* Ex: C:\Users\Yourname\Desktop\MCDzienny

4) We're Ready to begin!

5) Firstly what type of computer do you have?

If you have:

Windows - Go to Step 7

Linux/Mac - Go to Step 6

6) Linux/MacOS Setup

Note: For you it may take more time setting up than Windows.

b. Linux/MacOS

Do the Following in order
- Download mono framework from http://www.mono-project.com it will allow you to run .Net programs on Linux/MacOS,
- You can use in-built SQLite database or for a maximum stability install MySQL, that is free for a non commercial use,
- Edit properties that are located in 'properties' folder. The main property file is "server.properties",
- Start the server by executing

mono MCDziennyCLI.exe

OR

Code: Select all

mono --gc=sgen MCDziennyCLI.exe

The flag sets garbage collector to SGEN that may work a bit better, use it only if you get out-of-memory exceptions.


Lastly, if for some reason you didn't start the Server with "MCDziennyCLI.exe" then that's the problem you should report in the help section of the forum!

7) Windows Setup

a. Start the server by clicking "MCDzienny.exe"
*You can ignore "MCDziennyCLI.exe"

b. Wahoo you're done with the basics!

Ranks/Textdata:

There are default ranks and in game text already set up for you.

Ranks: Choose and make your own rank names! Be creative.

Textdata: These settings can be edited in the "textdata.txt"
