Error Killing my server

Error Killing my server

Postby creativemagic » 19 Nov 2011, 18:59

I was running my server and out of no where, the software froze and gave me a error saying:

Type: NullReferenceException
Source: MCDzienny_
Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Target: <Start>b__b
Trace: at MCDzienny.Server.<Start>b__b()

-------------------------
I got about 20 of those, so i restarted the server and noticed that it takes forever ( about 2min) for it to start the server. This is a continuing problem and would like to know how i can fix it.
PS: as i was writing this i got another error but it didnt crash :

Type: SocketException
Source: System
[code]Message: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
Target: BeginReceive
Trace: at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.BeginReceive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags, AsyncCallback callback, Object state)
at MCDzienny.Player..ctor(Socket s)

-------------------------
It was running just fine the other day, The program uses a lot of ram (about 500,000kb and climbing fast)and has high cpu usage (50-80%,Which make my fans get loud) Should I consider downgrading to a more stable version of mcdzieeny?

My PC Specs are:
win7 32-bit
2.0 GHz
4GB ram
i got fast internet
MCDzienny 7.0.1.0

Thanks for reading :D

Well looking at the error log and comparing it with your story it appears that you first started your server and some time later your internet suddenly broke off (causing you to change your IPv4 Address) and then reconnected but the port was not forwarded correctly because your IPv4 Address was different than before.

Example of IPv4 Change

IPv4 Address before: 192.168.4

Later...(after you lost connection to the internet)

IPv4 Address after: 192.168.3

So you see your config for port forwarding would be affected

Port Forwarding Config Example

Service Name: Minecraft
Service Type: TCP
Starting Port: 25565
Ending Port: 25565
Server IP Address(or IPv4): 192.168.1.4
(To find your IPv4 address follow the steps below)

Click Save or Apply.

How to Find your Server IP Address(IPv4)?

1) Click the "Start" button located in the bottom left corner.
2) In the dialog box type: "cmd" (without quotes then press enter)
3) Then when command prompt is shown type: "ipconfig" (without quotes then press enter)
4) Look for the line that says "IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . :"
5) The number after : is your IPv4 or your Server IP Address.
6) You're done finding your Server IP Address! Just type it in the wireless portforwarding service!

Note: The Developer(s) of MCDzienny have resigned and the software is no longer supported.
Errors are bound to occur and Mojang has not attempted to resolve them.

To HelloWorldCool: That doesn't resolve his problem. To creativemagic: Download the attachment at the end of the post. Then, install the software and make sure Start PF Static IP is selected before pressing "Finish". Then, it will start. Wait for it to show you your router's information. Then, click Make It Static. Use the reccomended options, and continue. Then, click Apply Changes. As you've got Windows 7, you'll need to be an adminstrator. When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Yes.
Wait for it to be complete, and it's done!

The attachment is here:
Portforward-Setup-Static-IP-Address.rar
Download this. You'll need to be an adminstrator and you'll need an archiver that can open .rar files.
(124.71 KiB) Downloaded 44 times
, because I forgot it and I can't edit it now. Note: If you're a dummy, open the .rar file, then the .exe file.
