Lava server Crashing Help reading error codes

Postby creativemagic » 12 Nov 2011, 20:43

Hello, I have just started to host my own server, so im a noob to the whole mcdzienny software The problem i have is its giving me a error message and restarting, since i don't know what the cause of this is I thought someone could read the error message and tell me what it is and possible how to fix it. The first thing is that every now and then this will pop up in the console"!!!Error! See logs/errors/2011-11-12error.log for more information." but nothing happens so i just leave it on, then about 30min later 5 more come up and it restarts. I went to the error logs and found this:
Type:AccessViolationException
Source: System.Windows.Forms
Message: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
Target: CallWindowProc
Trace: at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.CallWindowProc(IntPtr wndProc, IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.DefWndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.DefWndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.TextBoxBase.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.RichTextBox.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

-------------------------

This one shows up a Lot but with different numbers:

Type: ArgumentOutOfRangeException
Source: System.Windows.Forms
Message: InvalidArgument=Value of '-21' is not valid for 'start'.
Parameter name: start
Target: Select
Trace: at System.Windows.Forms.TextBoxBase.Select(Int32 start, Int32 length)
at MCDzienny.Gui.Window.UpdateChat(String msg)

(A concern i also have is that the mcdzienny program randomly has high cpu usage and the ram usage goes really high up, maybe that could be the cause of all of this) (i have 4GB of ram, i also added more maps if that makes a difference)

Thanks for any help :D

That's a nasty error and it's connected to the new chat feature that wasn't really completed yet and as you can see is quite bugged. I just released a version 7.0.1 that has this feature disabled so that you should suffer crashes no more. The chat tab will reappear in the next release.

Ok First of all if you want a stable version you might want to consider using 6.8.0.0
(Until after dzienny posts 7.0.0.0 on the home page it's not fully stable for certain)
Download fCraft maps! - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3012!

Note: The Developer(s) of MCDzienny have resigned and the software is no longer supported.
Errors are bound to occur and Mojang has not attempted to resolve them.
