Portal help

Im trying to make a portal so it goes to the map that is loaded on the lava. Can anyone help me?

Tryu /portal air , then goto the lava map and place it, it should automatically change to the new map

I placed it in the portal then went to cube put the red block. Then did /setlava map nyc it didnt work

This is what I did,
/portal water multi
or more info do /help portal
you can use dif blocks too like /portal lava multi
then place as many portal blocks as you want, they will be green at first, Next do /goto lava you should be spawned to the current lava map now press b to open your blocks list and select the Red block now place a red block where you want the user to be spawned after going through the portal. Hope it helped

Well to fully answer your question...

1) Do you mean portals that are on default "portals" map? Well they don't work unless you make a new ones. The info about portals is stored in database, but the database isn't included with the release, so that you start fresh. [btw. there is a special command for making a portal to lava map].
