Lava map

Ok so me and some of my friends made a lava map, on our first run through, lava came pouring into the spawn. So how do i fix this?

U need to put op_air around spawn if u dont want lava in spawn :?

I tried that, but it just places the block i was holding. Is this what it is supposed to do?

use /z op_air
/op_air doesnt work properly for me either ;)

Or if tht doesn't work out try

/replace air op_air

Tht shuld do it :)
