How do you use chat_constant$'s in Motd?

I would like to use them specificaly for things like: Welcome &e$name,&f please enjoy your stay. or in user.detail via cutom textures to show $time. Even if its to be done with plugings or so, that would be great. (Ive seen $name successfuly working in a servers motd once)

If you edit your "welcome.txt" i think you can do that...however in the motd...since you're asking it's probably not possible. I know you can use colors in motd however.

Chat constants only work for chat.
Dzienny could probably code them in for motd too though; that's how other servers do it.
What a beast...
