Servers are down?

I have just bought VPS, and then that as I said, I would open up my server and I checked that, after I tried running everything, server won't be up even though I've turn console up. Is there any way I could fix this? Is it the MCDzienny problem for Windows 2008 R2 or is my VPS has to be Windows 2008 not Windows 2008 R2? :/
