Remote Console

I host a server for someone and I made him a remote console account so he could get on the console too. It was working fine until today, whatever password we tried it wouldn't work. I even deleted that account, and made him another one and it wouldn't work. I port forwarded it, and it said something like "Incorrect password/username."
Any help would be appreciated
