You mean Linux-VServer?
To run MCDzienny under Linux you need to download Mono that will allow you to start MCDziennyCLI.exe. You have to start it from a command line
Code: Select all
mono MCDziennyCLI.exe
or something like that. There's no graphic user interface available for Linux, so you probably want to set up the server on your Windows machine first and then copy it to VServer. If that's not possible you have to manually edit settings files that are located in the 'properties' directory. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Yes, you should install MySQL. ISS is, as far as I know, for a web and email hosting, so it's not required for MCDzienny to run. Anyway, to setup MySQL edit the file 'properties/server.properties' and set UseMySQL to true, SQLPort and Username and Password to values you specified during the MySQL installation.

Well, it's the point of VPS that you are paying to someone for hosting your application/website. It is hosted even if you are offline, or your PC is off. I don't have experience with remote hosting, so maybe someone else is willing to give you an advice. Anyway you should check YouTube, I'm quite sure there are already tons of tutorials on how to deploy your application on a dedicated server / VPS.
